Adonai Baptist Church was founded in 2005 in Pinar del Rio, the provincial capital of Cuba's westernmost province. The church, with its five missions in the area, has a combined congregation of more than 200 members. Each weekday Adonai provides lunches for 25 elderly people in the neighborhood and has a variety of other ministries for all age groups.

José Luis Sánchez (above), son of the pastor and himself the pastor of one of Adonai's missions, is seen outside the Adanoi's sanctuary in Pinar del Rio, a city with many colonial building. Nearby is the small town of Viñales, a picturesque center of tourism in the mountains of western Cuba.
