Iglesia Elohim in the city of Las Tunas was founded in 2005 and has 80 members. The church meets in the home that Pastor Isidro Cheri Alicio shares with his wife and their two children.

Two missions have been founded by the Elohim church in this city of approximately 80,000 people. Las Tunas, known as the "City of Sculptures" has contemporary art throughout the city and is known for its terra-cotta ceramincs. Near the city are many sites related to Cuba's wars for independence.
